Bass Coast Shorts
For the last 15 weeks, we have been working on creating branding for three very different external clients. The branding project I was assigned to was Bass Coast Shorts, a short film festival in Wonthaggi, Victoria. The festival was started in 2021, having its first event in 2022.
For the project, I aimed to capture the unique coast of the Bass Coast Shire and the film camera, including elements like the trestle bridge, which is quite unique to the area. I decided to mix colonial and modern elements into a cohesive logo that would stand together with the local council while being unique.
For the type, I went for something thick and something that stood out from the logo while still being cohesive with the emblem and something that would slightly mimic the line weight of the emblem and something modern that could work on its own and is why is choose to use Bebes Nenue Pro a sans serif that was both legable and readable.
