About Sarah Jane
I’m a young Graphic designer and 3D artist located in Canberra ACT. Throughout the past two years, I've been working on sharpening my skills through the Advanced Diploma of Graphic Design.
Before starting my journey into the world of graphic design I studied Game art and animation. Between these two courses, I have found that I have a huge passion for both graphic design and game development and aim to combine the skills gained from both to create interesting designs.
"I might not have the documents yet to say that I'm a designer.
BUT... I am!"
My story
I grew up in a small town of around 1,500 residents with a passion for drawing. I was the type of kid that was mesmerized by animation and games, growing up I was a very quiet and solitary creature. however, I never let that stop me.
When I moved to Canberra back in 2018 I came with the sole aim, desire and passion to one day work in the games industry. I spent the next two years enjoying every minute of my time in AIE working towards an advanced diploma in game development as an artist.
Through that time I was able to work on two games:
Spell Thief (2018)
In which I worked on props and environment assets.
Legion Fall (2019)
In which I worked as one of two character artists.
However, as a 19-year-old at the end of my course, I was confused about where to go next, spending the next year trying to develop a portfolio and apply for jobs I was at a loss as I watched the next year fly right past me.
Until I ended up enrolling into a graphic design course in 2021... and am well into my last year and can't wait to see what the future holds.
