After a couple of years of studying graphic design, I became a little detached from my animation and 3D work. So to get back into everything I decided to work through a doughnut tutorial created by Blender Guru. I also wanted to learn blender's physics particle systems.
Throughout the process of making this doughnut, I learned a lot about the geometry node system within Blender. With this, I was able to use it twice to make the sprinkles distribute around the icing in a randomized pattern using weight painting and math to create and randomize my sprinkle models across the X and Y axes. As well as convert a plane to sprinkles.
